Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Chad Syntax LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit chadsyntax.com and our related sites (the "Site"), buy from our online store, or otherwise communicate with us (together, the "Services"). "You" means anyone who uses the Services.
By using the Services you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Information We Collect
When you visit the Site
- Usage analytics. We run a self-hosted analytics service on infrastructure we control. It records the pages you view, the links you follow out of the Site, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device, browser and operating system, and the page that referred you.
- Session recordings. The same service can record how you interact with a page (for example clicks, scrolling and pointer movement) so we can see how the Site is used and fix problems. The Site has no sign-in or payment forms, and we do not use recordings to identify you.
- Error reports. If something fails in your browser, details of the error, the page and your browser and device are sent to a self-hosted error-tracking service so we can fix it.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and request details to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.
- Local preferences. The Site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, and we use it to reply.
When you buy from our store
Our online store is operated through Shopify. When you place an order, Shopify and its payment processors collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, order details and payment information to process and deliver your order. We receive the order details we need to fulfil it, but we do not receive or store your full payment card number. Shopify's handling of your information is described in its own privacy policy.
Our Publishing Software
We use internal software to publish our own videos and posts to our own accounts on YouTube, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky and X. It is not offered to the public, only we can sign in to it, and it does not collect information from visitors or from anyone else's accounts.
Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Chad Syntax's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
